Eleanor Ormerod was a British entomolgist and natural historian. As well as publishing several journals and articles, Ormerod lectured at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester.
Amongst other accolades, Ormerod was awarded the Flora medal by the Royal Horticultural Society, was awarded an honorary degree from dinburgh university and a silver medal from the Société nationale d'acclimatation de France
Kay Petre was a Canadian born racing driver who moved to Britain in her twenties.
She reached a top speed of 134.75 mph in her 10.5 litre V12 Delage and raced in Britain and abroad.
