Begum Tasadduqu Hussain1908-1995

Salma Begum Tasadduqu Hussain was an active member of the Punjab Provincial Women's Subcommittee which set up schools for girls.  In 1946 she was elected to the Punjab Provincial Assembly and during the Partition riots she was appointed Refugee Relief Secretary for the Muslim League arranging housing for the refugees.

Hussain was also an accomplished writer and poet.

Rosie Hackett 1892 - 1976

Rosie Hackett was an Irish Union Activist.

She was instrumental in organising a strike of 3000 women in the Jacobs Biscuits factory in 1911 and afterwards co-founded the Irish Women Workers Union (IWWU) with Delia Larkin. 

In 1970 Hackett was awarded a medal for her 60 years of work in the Trade Union movement.
