Have started reading a biography of Agnes Baden-Powell and am waiting for a copy of a book about "Temperance, Suffrage, and the Origins of Modern Feminism".
I'm really looking forward to getting the new book and am hoping it'll shed some light on the links between temperance and suffrage. Seems (to me) that suffrage gets all the credit while temperance barely gets a mention. My suspicion is that if it hadn't been for the temperance women and World War I, we'd all still be in the dark ages (equality-wise at least)
